University Of Cyprus

We expect to contribute to the further shaping of the European academia, as well as to contribute to our own society. Our mission is amongst other things to create a forum for dialogue, mutual understanding and cooperation among the communities and minorities of the island acknowledging their common heritage and recent historical experiences.”

Located in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, an island which lies at the cross-roads of three continents, the University has quickly become a global education centre. International in philosophy, the University hosts students from all over the world, in a multicultural learning environment, promoting friendship, cooperation and understanding.”

Cyprus University Of Technology

“The Cyprus University of Technology aspires to develop itself into a modern, pioneering University able to offer education and high level research in leading branches of science and technology which have high impact on the economic, technical, and scientific sectors.”

First time Cyprus visitors assume that public transport, especially buses, is the best transport. They wrong. Actually a bus is the worst option. And here is why.

Generally, new and comfort buses operate in the holiday season between the main resorts. But as a rule, you’ll get an old bus with goofy gear and without air condition. Here is an old bus at streets of Ayia Napa. So if you love comfort or travelling with small kids, rent a minibus.

Cyprus taxis, including minibuses, are a great way to travel short distance. But make a habit to check a meter before getting in. Sometimes local drivers want to trick you. Also make sure driver switches a meter off when you stop.

Despite availability of taxis car rental is still the best option, because it pays off. You don’t need to pay for a ticket or taxi each time you want to get somewhere. Cheap gas and rental prices, short distances between Cyprus sights and amenities make your stay in Cyprus unforgettable.

Cyprus is one of the largest islands of the Mediterranean Sea, usually called the Island of Aphrodite (ancient Greek goodness of love) or simply, the Island of Love. Cyprus is very popular year round holiday destination among tourists from all over the world. Beautiful sandy beaches, plenty of places of interest, delicious traditional food is just 3-4 hours away from the majority of European airports. Cyprus has something to offer for everyone.

The best way to explore Cyprus is to hire a car. Low car hire rates and fuel costs allow families to visit all beautiful places without paying additional costs to travel agencies. Small local and big international car rental companies offer great discounts if you book online before your trip to Cyprus. Besides that, you can choose a pick-up location you like. Usually tourists choose Larnaca or Paphos international airport. This way you save time and money. Hence consider to book online before your arrival.

But there is something that you should know before you rent a car. If you plan to visit the North Cyprus then additional car insurance is required. You also should know that if you rent a car in Northern Cyprus, you are not allowed to cross the border of South Cyprus. So rent a car in South Cyprus if you plan to visit North Cyprus. Despite border crossing limitations, a rental car is the best way to discover Cyprus and its cities: Agia Napa, Larnaca, Limassol, Nicosia, Paphos.
